We need your help and support to create a lasting focal point for Palgrave.
-
All ages welcome – from sanding and painting to sketching and storytelling.

Schoolchildren will design the colourful glass panels, creating art for everyone to enjoy.
-
Share your creative ideas for how the phone box can be used as a living art space.
How You Can Get Involved

This is a project for everyone, and every contribution will help transform the red phone box into a lasting piece of community art for Palgrave.

A SHORT HISTORY
Designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, the K6 kiosk was commissioned to commemorate King George V’s
Silver Jubilee. Its elegant cast-iron form, domed roof, and panelled glazing are celebrated features of British
industrial design. The kiosk is a symbol of British civic identity and has become a heritage asset valued by both
local communities and visitors.
